Lot 20 Residential - Queenstown

We entrusted Triple Star to construct our home in Closeburn Station almost 3 years ago.

This difficult and complex project has now been completed and we can honestly say that we could not fault Triple Star in any way.  The end result is magnificent.

Attention to detail, communication, professionalism, flexibility, timeliness, and a wonderful team of skilled and dedicated people who were always friendly and helpful.

We have built several projects in the past and conclude that Triple Star was head and shoulders above any other builder we have dealt with.

We have no hesitation in recommending Triple Star.

Phil Richards Home Owner

Located within the exclusive Closeburn Station and perched in an elevated and sheltered spot above Lake Wakatipu, this new residential development is spectacular.

The design by Mason & Wales comprises a collection of five pavilions centred around a sheltered entrance lobby and vehicle forecourt.  The dwelling contains six bedrooms, each with ensuite.

To maximise lake views, the generous living areas and open plan kitchen are located on the front (south) of the site. These living spaces include a gable form which comprises the sitting, formal dining and lounge areas, a flat roof section containing the kitchen and scullery and the feature ‘butterfly wing’ roof form containing a second living and dining area. The remaining pavilions are situated further to the north-east of the site and include a master wing, garage wing (with loft above) and guest/family wing.

Exterior materials include extensive areas of local stacked schist, with a combination of raked mortar (living and master wings) and bagged, plastered mortar (garage and guest wing).  Blackened mild steel and stained cedar fascia are other key features of the exterior cladding.

The landscaping retains existing native vegetation within the site where possible and also includes extensive native planting around the sites boundary and dwelling.  A large lawn area as well as more formal plantings of exotic trees adjacent to the central vehicle forecourt of the dwelling enhances the overall landscape.
