2023 - Spirit of Adventure WHS Sponsorship

We were thrilled to present our fourth WHS Student Scholarship to the tenacious Ashton White.  

There are a number of reasons why we selected Ashton.  He submitted an honest and well written application where he recognised what he could bring to the voyage as well as what the voyage will do for him.  He is also obviously a very dedicated and disciplined rower who carefully balances this demanding commitment with his academic achievements as well as his leadership roles.  As recognised both by Ashton and his referee, being part of a voyage will help him work towards his leadership goals for 2024 and beyond.  We are also aware that Ashton and his family (as well as extended family) have done a huge amount for our local community in terms of giving up their time for local sports clubs, coaching etc and so for us, he just seems like an all round legend who is very deserving of a great time aboard the Spirit of Adventure - Go Well Ashton!
